Just found out from a co-worker that all BMW's kerplode after 30,000 miles. News to me.
This is why I try to keep my car purchases quiet at work.
Here, have some eye pain:

That body work can't be cheap, and they've made something objectively uglier than a Honda or a BMW.

I heard these BMW's were pretty reliable. Maybe you should swap yours for one.

Haha, I actually had a 2000 Galant, which really did steal a few BMW design cues of the time. And it was reliable...

30K!?
Jeez. I think we used to give Yugo's at least 80k back in the 80's.

2012 135i, which admittedly does have a turbo, but that doesn't mean it will instantly explode at 30k.

Yeah, 30k is just breaking it in. Dunno what he was talking about.

That's pretty sweet. And as long as you keep up with maintenance and oil changes you won't have any issues at all. I have the same engine in my 2011 335i. The N55 is way more reliable than the N54 was.

My 160,000km (100k mile) 01 E39 M5, on origional vanos, engine seals, diff transmission and a second clutch says fuck you to your co-worker and leaves 400hp of smoked tyres for him to choke on.
Nice choice on the 135 Btw.
